Jaeger-LeCoultre is clearly one of the most important manufacturers in Swiss watch making. They are singly responsible for scientific and manufacturing breakthroughs that revolutionized the industry, and for designing and manufacturing movements for the most prestigious houses in Switzerland. Even before the company began manufacturing watches under their own name in 1929, the horological triumphs of Antoine LeCoultre and the LeCoultre & Co. atelier were many and varied. The company’s legacy was already well established when the holding company of Jaeger-LeCoultre was established in 1925 in conjunction with Edmond Jaeger. In 1929 the company announced the smallest watch movement ever: the calibre 101 (it remains the world's smallest mechanical movement to this day). Jaeger-LeCoultre has never been one to rest on its laurels.
The featured watch describe is a Swiss made Jaeger-LeCoultre Aston Martin Amvox 2 192.2.25 crafted in 18k Rose gold round shaped 4 part bodied case measuring 44mm diameter. Fixed 18k Rose gold bezel, curved lugs. Automatic self-winding movement, power reserve up to ± 72 hours. Displays a black two part open work dial with contrasting Grey dial with White applied Arabic and baton hour markers, skeleton luminous filled hands, inner track of 30, minute track at outer rim. Date aperture at 5, chronograph displays, 30-minute counter between 2 and 4 and a 12-hour counter between 8 and 10. Chronograph lock located at 9 o’clock, start/stop under crystal at 12 and at 6 o'clock positions to reset to zero. (see photos). Small cutouts at the bottom of the dial allows to see some of the movement parts. 18k Rose gold, fluted pull/push crown. Anti reflective Sapphire crystal, screwed-down solid caseback engraved with the Aston Martin logo attached by screws. Black Perforated Calfskin & highly durable Cordura Fabric Strap and a polished 18k Rose gold JLC Hidden deployment buckle. Water resistant to 50m / 165ft. This model was to create a performance watch that is as intuitive to use as driving an Aston Martin. A Black-band on the dial beautifully contrasts, runs around the dial with a break between 4 and 8 so that the wearer can appreciate the extraordinary lever mechanism that controls the chronograph functions. Round center case on center access for chronograph activation. The stop-watch is shown in hours, minutes & seconds. The Hour & Minute indicators are rotating discs at 9 & 3 o'clock. Small cutouts at the bottom of the dial allows to see some of the movement parts..The AMVOX 2 Chronograph Concept is the ultimate driver’s watch. “An ingenious push button free Chronograph. The Chrono function is started, stopped & reset by pushing down on the crystal at the 12 & 6 o'clock positions. There is a 3 setting locking lever on the edge of the case at the 9 o'clock position which eliminates inadvertently starting, stopping or resetting the Chrono. The secret of the ingenious & exclusive vertical-trigger chrono lies in the levers viewable through the dial”. This watch was produced in an edition of 300 examples...

The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz)... approximate 72 hour power reserve.
